From the first inquiry, we felt that Nicole and Joe are the sweetest, adorable couple. When you hear a bride during a phone consultation say they would love to have lots of photographs – this is the equivalent of winning the lottery. And when we finally had our engagement session, and Nicole pulled out the sign with “That’s What She said,” puzzle was complete (I am a huge Office fan and can probably recite half of the lines from the show).
Nicole’s and Joe’s engagement session took place near the Boathouse Row / Waterworks area behind the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was a gorgeous evening filled with that perfect golden light (which you can enjoy pretty much throughout the whole gallery below). We walked around searching for the perfect Gazebo, and even though it was not 100% found, we got lots and lots of beautiful photos. The sky was so pretty I had to do several silhouette shots. Nicole and Joe were an absolute pleasure to work with, and besides their adorable chemistry and fun attitude, I was blown away at the end of our session by the most romantic and sweetest gesture from Joe. Somehow there was a large seashell in the river below the spot where we were standing taking photographs. While I was getting portraits of Nicole, he heroically made it to the water to grab it for Nicole (who collects seashells from all the places they visit).
We are so excited to share this gallery and cannot wait to be a part of Nicole and Joe’s wedding day at the Drexelbrook in a few months!
