I'm Maria — director and lead photographer at ProPhoto by MK. I've believed in the magic of photographs for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I would spend hours flipping through our family albums — images going back to my grandmother's grandparents. There is something utterly fascinating and magical about being able to connect with your ancestors through a photograph. To see their faces. To feel their joy. That is not a small thing. That is everything.
Photography is about family. It's about connection. It's about being able to look back and see happiness — to let your children see you young and in love, and maybe to let them see people who are no longer with us. Preserving all of that is a profound responsibility, and one I take to heart with every single wedding I photograph.
I am a hopeless romantic. I believe in love deeply — and getting to witness and capture the most joyful day in a couple's life is an absolute honor. I love showing my own kids our wedding album. I love looking at us. And I love giving that same feeling to every couple I work with.
And then there's the other side of me — the organized, slightly boring side. I care deeply about the things that don't make the highlight reel: backups, planning, reliability, honoring my word. You're not just getting creativity when you work with us. You're getting peace of mind. And on your wedding day, that matters just as much.
