New Jersey Wedding Photography

We cross the bridge most weekends. Cinnaminson, Voorhees, Princeton, East Brunswick, with two photographers on every wedding and film from the same team.

Across the River

Close enough to
know the rooms.

Our studio is in Huntingdon Valley, which puts most of South Jersey inside an hour and Cinnaminson, Voorhees and Moorestown a good deal closer than that. New Jersey is not a destination booking for us. It is an ordinary Saturday.

That matters most once you are indoors. The big New Jersey ballrooms are beautiful and genuinely difficult: domed ceilings, mirrored walls, colored uplighting and almost no daylight left after the cocktail hour. A room like that punishes a photographer who has never lit one, and rewards a team that walks in already knowing what it needs.

We also want to know you before the day itself. There is a conversation before you book and another while we build your timeline, so when we arrive at eight in the morning we are not strangers standing in your hotel room with cameras. I think that is half the reason people look relaxed in our photographs.

Cinnaminson, New Jersey

The New Jersey venue we
return to most: The Merion.

A stained glass dome over the main ballroom, marble underfoot, and formal gardens with fountains and a balustrade outside. It is one of the most photogenic rooms in South Jersey and one of the most demanding, because the dome that makes the space also swallows the light once the sun drops. We have photographed there enough to know what the room needs after dark and, just as importantly, when to walk you outside for the ten minutes that matter most.

Where We Work

New Jersey venues
we know well.

Bride on the floral staircase at Park Chateau Estate in East Brunswick, New Jersey

East Brunswick

Park Chateau Estate

A French chateau with a grand staircase, its own chapel and lawns that look borrowed from a film set. Formal, and worth photographing formally.

Wedding party under the colonnade at The Mansion in Voorhees, New Jersey

Voorhees

The Mansion

Columns, gardens and a fountain pond that turns gold about forty minutes before sunset. We build the portrait time around that, not around the schedule.

Bride and groom in the garden at South Gate Manor in Freehold, New Jersey

Freehold

South Gate Manor

A walled garden with a pergola and clipped hedging. Compact, sheltered and much easier in bad weather than it first looks.

Bride and groom on the dock at the Estate at Eagle Lake in Chesterfield, New Jersey

Chesterfield

Estate at Eagle Lake

Open water, a dock and sky in every direction. Dramatic weather is a gift here rather than a problem to work around.

Two brides outside a stone archway in Princeton, New Jersey

Princeton

Nassau Inn

Stone archways, ivy and a town built for walking. Princeton hands you real variety inside a couple of blocks.

We also photograph at Eagle Manor in Bridgeton, and we travel throughout New Jersey from Cape May up to the northern counties. Your venue not on the list? Send it to us. If we have not photographed there yet, we will go and look at it before your date.

Real New Jersey Weddings

Whole weddings,
not a reel of twelve frames.

Our Journal has complete galleries from The Merion and Park Chateau, running in order from the morning through to the end of the night. If you are trying to judge a photographer, this is the part to read.

$4,320

Six hours, two photographers

Eight hours is $4,620, ten hours $5,000 and twelve hours $5,400, and cinematography costs the same as photography. There is no travel fee for any venue within an hour's drive of our Huntingdon Valley studio, which covers most of South Jersey. Further out, we quote the travel cost up front. Every collection includes two photographers, a fully color-corrected gallery and personal print rights. Photography and film come from the same nine people, so nobody is stepping into anybody else's frame, and if one of us wakes up ill the person who steps in already knows how we work.
