How do you describe an epic wedding? Where is everything just as perfect as can be? Just take a look at our most recent blog post here, because in this case picture is worth a thousand words.
We met Jill and Harry at the engagement session that took place at Princeton University. Besides how gorgeous the campus grounds are, this location was extra special to the couple – it was a short drive from the AMC theater where their love story began. They worked at the AMC theater together and got to know each other before they started dating.
Fast forward to their wedding day; I am simply in awe with every detail, every moment of their fantastic wedding day. (Yes, there is no shortage of positive words to describe how awesome it was!!!!)
Jill was getting ready at her parent’s house in Bensalem, PA, along with all her bridesmaids. I had arrived just in time to photograph a few finishing touches of the makeup/hair and of the girls in matching polka dot pj’s before they changed into their lovely blush pink gowns. Jill picked out similar floral dresses for her maid and matron of honor, which was a nice touch. All the little details were put together to be photographed: wedding rings in a lovely navy blue box, invitation, Jill’s wedding jewelry, cathedral veil and shoes, and of course the showstopper: her wedding gown.
Once Jill was ready, she had a very touching first look for her bridesmaids and her father. After some more portraits at the house, we left for the first look.
At the same time, Harry and his groomsmen were getting ready at the Sheraton Oxford Valley. Cammy (the 2nd photographer) captured all the fun moments of Harry’s morning. From every single groomsman helping him put on his suit to some super cool group photographs down at the lobby. And have you seen the coolest idea with the beer bottles? If not, definitely check it out!
When we arrived at Glencairn museum for the first look, Harry and Jill were so excited to see each other. Their reveal was so emotional and so beautiful. Their wedding timeline was planned so we would have ample time for portraits before the rest of the wedding party joined them at the Glencairn. Again, we got lucky with the weather. We spent about two hours walking around Glencairn’s stunning grounds with a cloudy day and comfortable temperature. But most importantly, we (as in ProPhoto by MK team) got lucky to work with a fantastic couple!
Every photograph is beautiful because of our couple – yes, they looked awesome, but there is so much more beyond it. The way they looked at each other, how they both were glowing with happiness, Jill’s laughs while her hands were on Harry’s shoulders. It’s truly such a joy to photographs couples so profoundly in love.
When we arrived to their ceremony at the Falls Manor, Jill had a little (but significant) surprise for Harry. One of their favorite movies is the Lord of the Rings, so she chose to walk down the aisle to the soundtrack but kept it a secret. Jill mentioned that Harry is not as emotional and usually holds pretty well during sentimental moments, but she thought he would love this surprise, and he surely did. Jill and Harry had a sand ceremony and invited the best man to take part and say a few words. It was so romantic and beautiful. And, of course, the reception. EPIC party where everyone is dancing and having a great time. At the end of the night Jill and Harry agreed to go outside for sunset photos (which Falls Manor is perfect for – their garden always has the best sunsets!).
It was a wonderful wedding day, and it was such a pleasure to document every moment of it!
