On a lovely day back in September 2022 we had the pleasure of working with Brianna and Mike, capturing their special day. It started early with both bride and groom getting ready at the Doubltree by Hilton in Mt. Laurel NJ. Girls and guys were situated in different hotel wings, to make sure Brianna and Mike won’t see each other before the scheduled time.
Even though we often photograph NJ weddings, this was our first time working at the hotel, and we absolutely loved the experience. With a GORGEOUS courtyard, the first part of the day was essentially stress-free. Before doing a “first look” with Mike, Brianna did a reveal for her father. It was such a special emotional moment for them, especially since Breanna’s mother was present spiritually.
The first look with Mike and Brianna was so sweet and romantic. Immediately after we proceeded with wedding party portraits and of course a few family portraits with the couple’s little daughter.
Mike and Brianna’s ceremony took place at the outdoor pavilion at the sunset at the Mansion on Main Street. It was magical: as the sun was setting the couple exchanged vows and rings.
Reception time was as great as the first part of the day. After fun introductions, bride and groom did a beautifully choreographed first dance, followed by parent dances. Toasts from the maid of honor, best man and father of the bride were touching and emotional. You could feel the love and care of everyone in the room, their true presence, as they listened to each toast, laughed and cried with the couple.
The party after dinner was epic! The dance floor was packed, and everybody had a great time. Those candid moments are priceless! Some people may underestimate the importance of capturing the party and dancing at the wedding, but it really balances out the formal parts and shows lively, fun, and wild emotions. It was such a pleasure to be there for Mike and Brianna and capture their wedding day in its entirety.
