This wedding is going on our “best of” list of all 2019 weddings! I don’t have words, and I’m speechless – look at all of those photographs and see what we saw – love, emotion, beautiful people, fun, and pure joy.
Savannah and Marcia started their day at the Sheraton Hotel at Oxford Valley. They had separate rooms on different floors since they did not want to see each other before their ceremony that day. It was awesome to work with two brides – double the details, flowers, and carefully chosen beautiful gowns! We loved that girls had these adorable robes and pajamas for their wedding parties. Tiny bottles of champagne were a lovely touch as well!
After a beautiful romantic ceremony, we went out to the front lawn at the venue. Falls Manor has lovely grounds and they keep the landscaping so beautiful and well taken care of, but as always, with large wedding parties, it’s still a bit of a fun challenge to avoid distractions during portrait time. Besides, we had a tricky timing – it was the midday with the sun blasting from the sky. But girls did a great job posing in heat and just going with all our wild ideas, and we had a perfect 25-minute wedding party group photoshoot.
After the reception, we got to go to Core Creek Park and took some jaw-dropping photographs. It is a huge bonus for having a day-time wedding, an option to do more portraits, and not scheduling an additional day-after session! Core Creek is one of the popular parks for wedding photography for its wide-open spaces with the gorgeous sky, a large lake, and cute little paths and alleys. However, your portrait session location needs to go with your vibe (if you like downtown Philly or flower fields – let’s do that!). But in this case, Savannah and Marcia love spending time outdoors and enjoy nature, so Core Creek Park was the right choice and, we think their portraits speak to it!
