Unfortunately, 2020 has not been good for most wedding couples. And like many others, Jaimee and Michael decided to move their wedding reception to next year. However, they opted in for a micro wedding with a ceremony at the glorious Bryn Athyn Cathedral with their closes family and friends. It was our pleasure to document their day and create such stunning portraits. Jaimee was a true princess in her Essence of Australia wedding gown. As our couple hoped, we were able to capture some portraits of them before the ceremony (thanks to the first look!). Bryn Athyn Cathedral has impeccable grounds with lots of greenery and lush flowers, not to mention the place’s architecture. It is one of our most favorite places to photograph a wedding. Michael was patiently waiting for Jaimee while she was putting on the gown in a company of her girls. Meanwhile, he read the letter from her. It was perfect timing, as, by the time he finished reading, Jaimee was right there, waiting to surprise him. The first look was super romantic and sentimental. Michael was smitten by Jaimee, and it was such a nice moment to capture for the couple. The ceremony was just as lovely. Even though Micro wedding collection is usually one photographer’s coverage, Jaimee wanted to get the balcony shot of her walking down the aisle with her father. From a practical point of view, we knew, that one photographer should stay up front, next to the groom, to capture everyone walking down the aisle. But to make this special shot for Jaimee, we brought in a second photographer just to get this moment, and we could not be happier. First of all, we are glad to please our clients! Secondly – that image is stunning and so unique – Bryn Athyn Cathedral is such a beautiful space in early gothic style; the tall ceilings, columns, and stained glass windows complement the photo so well.
After the ceremony, we finished up with more portraits of the family and wedding party. We are so excited to share those with you all! And we are looking forward to 2021 for the big wedding celebration! Congratulations, Jaimee and Michael!
