This wedding is a clear and undeniable truth that no matter what is happening in the world, as long as you have your LOVE, family, and friends, things will work out. Shannon and Kyle were planning a beautiful wedding at Peddlers Village on July 25, 2020. But as we all know, COVID mingled with everybody’s plans, and our couple decided to postpone to 2021 with the grand event. For their original wedding date, Shannon and Kyle opted in for a private wedding ceremony at home with the closest family and friends. We were happy to cover their micro wedding and be a part of their day.
They have put in a lot of thought into planning this event. Shannon’s father built them a beautiful wooden arch for the ceremony. Our couple borrowed chairs for their guests from Falls Manor Catering, where Shannon works. They even put up little cones on the side of the road, so there won’t be any parked cars in the background (definitely a nice touch when it comes to photos!)
Maria (the photographer) arrived a couple of hours before the ceremony to capture getting ready for the bride and groom. It was a lovely warm day, a home was filled with sunlight and anticipation of the special moment. Shannon was in her room, getting ready. Kyle was upstairs waiting. Maria was greeted by their doggies, Loki, and Thor (who were a part of the engagement session last year, but Thor was a teeny puppy who grew to be a delightful, playful large dog). It was a great start to a gorgeous wedding day.
Once preparations were done, all portraits captured, it was time for the wedding ceremony. It was very romantic and sentimental. Kyle and Shannon lit a candle for Kyle’s father, who passed away and was at the ceremony in spirit. Shannon’s sister Nicole brought the rings to the couple. Surrounded by family, Shannon and Kyle said their “I do”s. It was perfect!
After the ceremony, Maria photographed the couple with their parents, sibling, and other close relatives, followed by a little “portrait session” for Shannon and Kyle alone. Our couple lives in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of greenery and trees; it was virtually a session in a park, but next to their house.
The photography coverage ended with a few photographs with the wedding cake.
It was a beautiful backyard wedding, and we are so excited to share those previews with you all! Congratulations to the newlyweds!!!
